John H. Howard Sr. was born February 17, 1945 in Bulloch County, Georgia to John and Artelia Howard(deceased). He graduated from David T. Howard High School in Atlanta, Georgia where he played in the band and football. His first love was always music, which inspired him to become a self taught guitarist. He then went on to form the "JOHN HOWARD AND BLUE RHYTHM BAND". With heavy hearts and minds we say good-bye to our sweet spirit John. Always challenging, never defeated, never the one to accept tales first told from suspect sources. Forever of his own mind, his only council - strength and time. Our rock rugged and jagged of demeanor sealed with heart and soul, comprised of son, brother, uncle, father, soldier, grandfather and child of Heaven. His work here is done. We pray his soul be at peace and his body be at rest as he make the journey home.
